Terms and Conditions
Pricing
All estimates/quotes are held for 30 days. If you chose to go ahead with the works after this time, it maybe be subject to a re-quote.
Upon conformation of your order, we require 40% of the total value as a deposit, to carry out any works quoted.
Upon delivery we require the full payment of the remaining balance in full payment, unless a previous arrangement has already been agreed prior to any works commenced.
Payment schedule for fitted work by Bucks Joinery Limited; 40% deposit required upon agreement of quotation, outstanding 60% required upon completion.
You have the right to a full refund of your deposit if you change your mind, as long as it is within 14 days of paying the deposit. After the 14 days, Bucks Joinery Limited, hold the right to refuse any refund.
A refund will be refused if any manufacturing has started within the 14-day period, as stated above.
Title to the goods will remain property of Bucks Joinery Limited until the total amount has been paid in full. Bucks Joinery Limited holds the right to enter upon any properties to reprocess any goods that we have manufactured.
All final payments are due within 7 days upon receipt of the final invoice, otherwise interest will be charged at 5% of the final bill unless discussed prior to this time frame.
Alterations
Any changes/modifications to the specification of your works order after the first 14 days of the deposit being paid, may incur additional charges depending on the changes/modifications being made.
Any specifications/drawings/sizes provided by a third party (e.g. architects/builders plans) will be accurately followed, unless any regulatory issues are foreseen, in which case, we will contact the relevant party to resolve the issue.
Any potential improvements to the designs/drawings/plans provided will be discussed and agreed/declined upon, prior to any works being carried out.
Product
As timber is a natural product, it may be subject to movement, colour and grain variations. Every effort will be made to minimise the effects/appearance of these natural occurrences.
If the product is to be glazed by a third party, Bucks Joinery Limited will take no responsibility for any damage caused (i.e. water damage, faulty beading, expanded joints etc).
Any glazing to be carried out by a third person, should be certified and competent to do so.
Fitting and finishing
Any finishing to our products will be pre discussed prior to quotation.
Any products being supplied ‘in the white’ (unfinished), should be stored by the buyer in a dry, ventilated place. All products should be treated immediately upon delivery. Bucks Joinery Limited will take no further responsibility if these steps are not taken.
Any primed only products supplied, will require fully decorating immediately, otherwise the product will not be fully protected from the elements, potentially causing damage.
Timber may be subject to bleaching from Ultraviolet rays, that may result in changing the appearance of individual components and/or the entire joinery product over time. Ultraviolet protective oils may help to slow this process but will not completely stop it.
We will take great care of reusing customers ironmongery if required to, however if an item does get damaged on removal or re-fitting, we won’t take responsibility for damages or a replacement.
Any unforeseen additional works carried out, that has not been included on the initial quote, may incur an additional charge.
If fitting works are to be carried out by a third party, no responsibility will be taken by Bucks Joiner Limited regarding any issues raised from poor installation of the product.
If any alterations are required during the installation process of any product supplied by Bucks Joinery Limited, then Bucks Joinery Limited should be informed of this, prior to the alterations taking place.
Delivering your product
Delivery of goods carried out by Bucks Joinery Limited should be inspected by the customers immediately for any imperfections or damages that may have occurred in transit. If the products are delivered by a third party, Bucks Joinery Limited takes no responsibility for any damage that may have occurred once the product leaves our premises.
If fitting services are supplied by Bucks Joinery Limited, any ‘making good’ will be carried out (repairing plaster, chalking etc) however, no decorating works will be carried out.
A time scale on how long your product will take to be manufactured will be discussed at the time of quotation, this will be confirmed once a deposit has been paid. Any dates given may be subject to change if your specifications change at any point.
Warrenties
We provide great care and pride in our work and quality of craftsmanship, and due to the materials being natural, and in most cases, open to the elements, no warranties are offered, but if for any reason, the joinery work was to fail, we will rectify any problems within the first 12 months. General wear and tear does not apply.
Warranty on glazed units is dependent upon the glass manufacturers own warranty, which can be supplied on request.
Items such as ironmongery/glass/paint will have a manufacturer’s warranty issued from the manufacturer. General wear and tear does not apply.
Once you, the buyer, have paid a deposit to Bucks Joinery Limited, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of sale.
